“Very inspired following @TeachMeetDonc today! Magpied some awesome ideas! Thank you! ”
“Congratulations to the team for a fantastic first @TeachMeetDonc I reckon the future's in safe hands”
The TeachMeet event took place on 16th January 2018 to a fantastic turnout! 200 Primary teachers and leaders experienced an electric mix of over 10 presentations. All delegates were kept engaged and enthused, even when Cre8tive Dance had everyone 'looking & tutting' from their seats.
The event was organised by Claire Dutton and Jack Wardle from The Rose Learning Trust. Claire and Jack kicked off the event with a real sense of purpose. The presenters were from a range of Doncaster schools, external companies and also schools from outside the region. Each presenter gave an account of the innovative practice they are embedding within their classroom. They had their own research background and specific focus to their practice. Bob Sawyer gave two amazing presentations, the first on questioning, reminding colleagues that its not the teacher’s questions which are important but the children’s! The second on the benefits of research in education, including work from The Chartered College and Dame Alison Peacock.
We are delighted that the first TeachMeet event went well, which leads me to confirm there’s more to come…
