New to Teaching Primary SCIENCE

Following fantastic feedback from NQTs in the 2016/17 cohort we have invited Tanya back to Doncaster.

This is an essential course for newly qualified primary teachers.  Science is a core part of the primary curriculum. Having lost its focus over the last few years many newly qualified teachers lack the experience of teaching and observing lessons in this subject.

This course will provide teachers with a range of exciting ideas to teach primary science.  It will also enable teachers to develop the confidence to plan and teach engaging and effective learning experiences for their pupils.

Participants will be able to

  • Describe the background knowledge for the science curriculum
  • Use a variety of ideas and activities to teach primary science
  • Plan and manage the practical aspects of the science curriculum in their classrooms

This full day course will be taking place on 13.04.18, from 9am until 4pm at Toll Bar Primary with lunch and refreshments provided. This course will cost:

  • Enhanced Members - £35.00 per person
  • Core Members - £50.00 per person
  • Non-members - £70.00 per person

“The safeguarding health check was incredibly useful. Dr Mujahid Ali was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He fully explored our school systems and processes. He also made practical suggestions and shared some useful documentation which will allow us to improve our practice further. I feel that we are in a really good position as a school now to answer to an inspection team".
