Producing an Effective Headteacher Report

Have you ever seen another head teacher’s report to governors? Are you in a position where you want your governors to show effective challenge? Have you had the opportunity to think about how to engage governors so that they really know your school? Have you had the time to celebrate your work with others?

If those questions have made you think then this course will be useful!

The session will be split into three parts.

The first part will be spent exploring how to engage governors in providing challenge in a full governors meeting through the head teacher report to ensure that the time and effort that is spent preparing for a full governing body meeting really has impact.

The second part of the session will be spent looking at exploring how the leadership team, including governors, can work together to evaluate and monitor a school’s performance leading to joint evaluation and school improvement planning.

The final part of the session will allow you to ‘bring and brag’ about your practice. How often do you really have time to share your practice with peers?  How often does somebody tell you that you are doing a good job?  Be prepared to bring along examples of the work that you have done with governors.

By the end of this session you will be able to effectively engage governors in the monitoring and evaluation of your school.

The session will be taking place on 18.05.18, from 9am until 12 noon at The Pinfold Building.

This course will cost £60 per person for Enhanced Members, £75 per person for Core Members, and £90 per person for Non-Members.
