Newly Qualified Teacher Development Programme - Primary

The Partners in Learning Primary NQT programme is designed and facilitated to support NQTs through a series of face-to-face training sessions, gap tasks and a peer network. This extended programme will be sustained over a ten-month period and will be designed in line with the Standard for teachers’ professional development (DfE 2016). It will complement in-school CPD and support from mentors. Wherever possible we will draw upon the best available evidence on teaching and learning.

The purpose of the programme:

• To support the participants to meet the required induction standards
• To provide NQTs with teaching strategies that have been proven to support learning
• To facilitate a network for continued professional learning and mutual support


A programme of support and development which includes:

• Welcome Meetings
• Face to Face training and networking sessions
• On-going training and support for Mentors
• Regular in school mentoring


​​Face to Face Day 4

  • Experiencing High Quality Teaching and Learning in Different Contexts
  • 22.05.19, 9am until 3:30pm at Castle Hills Primary School
  • The day will explore the common features of high quality teaching and learning and will include a school enquiry visit

​​Face to Face Day 5  

  • Understanding Learning and Progress
  • 25.06.19 9am until 3:30pm Castle Hills Primary School 
  • The day will consider a range of assessment strategies to enable all learners to make good progress.


  • Core Members: £395.00 per NQT
  • Extended Members: £345.00 per NQT
  • Enhanced Members: £295.00 per NQT
