2019/2020 Newly Qualified Teacher Development Programme - Primary

The Partners in Learning Primary NQT programme is designed and facilitated to support NQTs through a series of face-to-face training sessions, gap tasks and a peer network. This extended programme will be sustained over a ten-month period and will be designed in line with the Standard for teachers’ professional development (DfE 2016). It will complement in-school CPD and support from mentors. Wherever possible we will draw upon the best available evidence on teaching and learning.

The purpose of the programme:

  • To support the participants to meet the required induction standards
  • To provide NQTs with teaching strategies that have been proven to support learning
  • To facilitate a network for continued professional learning and mutual support

Involvement

A programme of support and development which includes:

  • Welcome Meetings
  • Face to Face training and networking sessions
  • On-going training and support for Mentors
  • Regular in school mentoring

The Partners in Learning Early Career Teacher Network is designed and facilitated to support NQTs through a series of face-to-face sessions. This network is designed in line with the Standard for teachers’ professional development (DfE 2016). It will complement in-school CPD and support from mentors. Wherever possible we will draw upon the best available evidence on teaching and learning.

The purpose of the Network:

  • To support the participants to meet the required induction standards
  • To provide Early Career Teachers with teaching strategies that have been proven to support learning
  • To facilitate a network for continued professional learning and mutual support
  • Receive key updates and listen to more experienced practitioners 
  • Participants should come prepared to talk about there current practice and engage in activities

NQT Mentor Support Surgery - 12/03/20

Do you want to ensure you are successfully and effectively mentoring your NQT(s) in school?

Are you fully aware of your roles and responsibilities? 

To ensure that you give your NQT(s) the best possible start in their career attend this Support Surgery.

The purpose of the support surgery:

  • discuss documentation available
  • share ideas on what should be included in Mentor files
  • listen to any national updates as relevant
  • consider guidelines related to the progress of NQTs
  • celebrate good practice so far and identify any queries or concerns
  • Participants should come prepared to talk about there current practice and engage in activities
  • ask any burning questions!

Cost:

  • FREE of charge to members of Partners in Learning Teaching School Alliance. This network is open to both Primary and Secondary NQT Mentors and Coordinators within Doncaster.
  • £20 per person for non-members of Partners in Learning.
